Maine

For my birthday this year, we visited Maine (24Aug04 - 28Aug04).  This is Stephen King's house in Bangor.  Randall took more photos in front of SK's house...they follow below.  Notice the spider web incorporated into the design of the gate, the gargoyles on the gate posts, etc.

We also visited Bar Harbor (where we took a whale watching cruise), Mt. Desert Island including Acadia Nat'l Park/Cadillac Mtn., Calais, St Stephen (NB Canada), Millinocket and Baxter State Park (where we took a floatplane trip looking for moose -- we spied three!).

The following photos were taken beginning in Bangor and ending when we returned to Katahdin Flying Service at Baxter State Park after our floatplane tour.  Sights include photos from Cadillac Mountain (Acadia Nat'l Park), The Quilt Cabin (located between Bangor and Elsworth), the marina in Bar Harbor, and the seawall on Mt. Desert Island...and sites all along the way!
